GBM appoints new lead for Kuwait

Piero Corsini, country GM, Khorafi Business Machines,

Gulf Business Machines (GBM), a leading IT solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Piero Corsini as country GM for Khorafi Business Machines, GBM’s Kuwait branch.

In his new role, Corsini will be responsible for handling client relations in Kuwait, further developing the skill levels of employees as well as focusing on business growth, it was reported.

Cesare Cardone, CEO of GBM said, “Kuwait remains a high priority market for GBM.  We are positive that with Piero’s 35 years of experience, he will be able to transform our business opportunities and deliver strong sustainable growth by implementing fresh strategies aimed at further expanding our presence in the market.”

Corsini has 11 years of regional experience as well as over 30 years of experience working for IBM in roles such as GM for IBM Central, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA) and IBM VP of public sector for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Commenting on his appointment, Corsini said, “I have been working in the MEA region from a distance for over 10 years and I am delighted to be able to lead GBM’s office in Kuwait.  I aim to leverage on the opportunities and the potential offered by emerging markets such as Kuwait while always keeping in mind KBM’s goal to provide IT infrastructure optimisation to our customers.”

Prior to joining GBM, Corsini worked for Value Partners Company as GM for Latin America for over two years where his direction was crucial to increasing the company’s market share in the region. He holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Italy.
