NETGEAR is set to stage an extensive participation at the upcoming ‘GITEX 2009’, where it will showcase a unique selection of advanced networking, storage and entertainment solutions. The company’s move to strengthen its presence at the high profile event is aimed at leveraging the growing prospects within the region’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. This year, NETGEAR will be at stand ZQ1 in Zabeel Hall of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 18 to 22, 2009.

A report entitled ‘Middle East ICT Market Analysis’ confirmed that the region is witnessing strong growth in the ICT sector in the recent years, which is driven by sizeable government investments into the development of the market. Furthermore, the booming sales of consumer electronics, as well as the increasing dependence of the SMB sector towards technology, poses excellent opportunities for manufacturers of networking, storage and entertainment solutions in the region. Addressing the requirements of the regional market, NETGEAR is set to unveil its latest offerings, including its ‘ProSafe Wireless Access Point’ for high-performance wireless local area networks; ‘ReadyNAS’ network storage system, and the ‘XAVB1004’ home theatre Internet connection kit, at the event.

“Our participation at this year’s GITEX plays a significant part in our regional strategy to leverage the ICT market in the Middle East,” said Ahmad Zeidan, Channel Sales Manager, NETGEAR Middle East. “Since we began our participation in GITEX, we have recognised and benefited from its strength as a platform to showcase our products and drive the NETGEAR brand as a total networking and storage solution provider for the SMB sector. This year, we are very eager to unveil our latest technology-driven offerings specifically designed for the requirements of our regional clients.”

Committed to providing innovative networking solutions for SMBs as well as home users, NETGEAR specialises in delivering a wide selection of products grouped under the Ethernet networking, broadband and wireless networking segments and comprising switches, adapters, wired and wireless routers, and gateways, which enable users to share internet access, peripherals, files, digital multimedia content and applications among multiple personal computers and other Internet-enabled devices. The company has built a strong repute as a source of affordable, easy-to-install security and software products, which merge reliability with high performance.

“As a leader in delivering cutting-edge technologies and affordable, easy-to-use solutions for residential and SMB markets, we have always found participating in ‘GITEX’ events to our definite advantage. In addition to generating interest for our new products, we have also successfully leveraged the attendance of channel partners at the event, and this year we will be focusing on forging strategic collaborations with more experienced channel partners to further expand our reach,” concluded Zeidan.
