Ingram Micro has expanded the distribution market for vendor Poly, a global communications company that powers meaningful human connection and collaboration.

As part of the expanded distribution agreement, Ingram Micro has opened trading across UAE, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Yemen, Pakistan, Oman, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana.

Poly is the new company name for Plantronics, which acquired Polycom in the middle of 2018. Following that acquisition, Ingram Micro has been selected by Poly to become one of their regional distributors, having previously specialized in both Plantronics and Polycom in several countries.

The expansion of the territory is a testament to the expertise in Ingram Micro’s rapidly expanding Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) Business Unit. Ingram Micro is emerging to be a market leader in innovative UCC solutions, with their exceptional line card of both traditional and born in the cloud vendors, a team of in-country specialists spanning EMEA, and a large range of complimentary services.

“We are delighted to start the distribution of Poly across the Middle East. Poly has a unique voice and video solutions that compliment both Ingram Micro’s line card and company evolution perfectly to meet the increasing demand in our region. We are confident and believe that our cooperation will deliver advanced audio and video technologies to customers, which supports and perfectly complements our comprehensive Product portfolio,’’ said Bahaa Salah, Managing Director of Ingram Micro, Gulf, and Near East region.

“We are confident that through our alliance with Ingram Micro, we can continue providing more value to both new and existing European customers. Customers seek world-class Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) solutions, which is an excellent opportunity for both Poly and Ingram Micro. We are pleased to be able to strengthen our cooperation with this long-standing ally further,” said Armando Trivellato, Vice President, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe & Russia at Poly.
