Qtel in strategic alliance with iHorizons

Qtel and iHorizons have signed a pact to develop and market a number of advanced technology solutions and business services. Recognising the ongoing development of Qatar’s economy, the two companies will cooperate on world-class business solutions aimed at supporting companies in specific industries and growth sectors.

This alliance will see the two companies align their product development roadmaps and technology architectures in order to provide a faster time-to-market for new solutions, as well as bespoke service for key customers.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony attended by senior representatives from Qtel and from iHorizons, including Eng. Khalid Abdulla Al Mansouri, Executive Director, Business Solutions, Qtel, and Mr. Mohamad Takriti, CEO of iHorizons.
It is one of the first agreements of its kind between two leading Qatari companies, a major regional operator and a leading provider of business solutions and IT services.

Eng. Khalid Abdulla Al Mansouri, Executive Director, Business Solutions, Qtel, said: “Qtel is placing strong emphasis on ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality of business services and support, backed by world-class infrastructure in Qatar, as demonstrated by Qtel’s Fibre technology project that will deliver unprecedented support to businesses across Qatar. In order to fuel the business ambitions of our customers, we are working with best-in-class partners like iHorizons to develop a new generation of solutions.”

Mohamad Takriti, CEO of iHorizons said: “The world is witnessing rapid convergence between telecom and IT services, and businesses and consumers expect leading edge solutions and flawless customer service. Therefore, iHorizons is teaming up with Qtel to develop, market, and operate such converged solutions.”
Developments will target several areas and emerging technologies, including cloud-based business services, enterprise portal solutions, managed services, digital media solutions and wireless applications.

Qtel provides some of the most advanced business communications services available in the region, and continues to enhance its portfolio for companies of all sizes. In addition to supporting the communication needs of many of Qatar’s leading and most strategically-important enterprises, it has also developed a wide range of dedicated support services for small and medium sized businesses.
