Global Knowledge names new MD

IT and business skills training provider Global Knowledge has named Maged Thabet as its Managing Director for UAE & Gulf.

Maged joins Global Knowledge UAE & Gulf from Global Knowledge Egypt where he started his service with Global Knowledge Egypt 12 years ago as Sales Executive, then finally landed on the role of Managing Director for Egypt back in October 2010; during that time, Maged drove the Egyptian business to a very successful period despite the economic turmoil in Egypt.  Maged will continue his role as Egypt’s managing director beside his new role.

“I’m delighted that Maged’s role will expand to include the UAE & Gulf region,” said Richard Pryor-Jones, Global Knowledge president, EMEA. “The MEA region continues to provide a significant opportunity for Global Knowledge and I believe that Maged’s experience will help us achieve the aggressive goals that we have set for our UAE and Gulf business.”. added Pryor-Jones.  “Maged has demonstrated a tremendous record during his tenure as sales director  then managing director for Global Knowledge Egypt and I am very confident that he will make  a significant contribution to our UAE & Gulf region and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role” added Pryor-Jones.

Maged assumed his position at the beginning of April and will be located in Global Knowledge’s Dubai Branch. He will report to Richard Pryor-Jones
