MINERVA appointed distributor for Motorola?s two-way radio products

MINERVA has recently signed a new agreement with Motorola, to act as a channel distributor for Motorola’s professional line of two-way radio products and accessories throughout the Middle East region (ME).

"Motorola has been a key partner during MINERVA`s growth over the past 6 years and business for MINERVA has been steadily growing year by year. We are offering Motorola’s wireless broadband solutions and services to the region as a Motorola distribution partner in the Middle East and are excited to further expand our excellent and longstanding partnership through the distribution of Motorola’s professional two-way radio product line." said Alexander Allen, Chief Executive Officer of MINERVA.

Motorola’s diverse array of portable and mobile two-way radios and pagers offers solutions that better enable organizations to efficiently coordinate and communicate with their on-the-go workforce. MOTOTRBO is a digital communications technology platform that combines exceptional two-way radios with digital technology to deliver increased capacity and spectral efficiency. It is specifically designed to meet the requirements of organizations that require a customizable business-critical communication solution using licensed radio spectrum.

It supports enhanced voice communications and data applications, such as text messaging and global positioning system (GPS)-based location services. MOTOTRBO is a cost effective solution that uses the two-slot TDMA technology providing extra capacity. Essentially it doubles return on investment by enabling two calls, or one call plus one data stream, to coexist simultaneously in a license. In addition, with its affordable acquisition and operating costs, outstanding performance and dual mode operation for integration with legacy analog systems, MOTOTRBO offers exceptional value particularly when compared to alternative technologies that require monthly fees.

Alexander Allen, Chief Executive Officer of MINERVA comments: “MINERVA has all the skill set to help Motorola grow its two-way radio business within the region. Being the most specialized wireless company in the region, MINERVA has the technical expertise in house to assist our partners in design and delivery of their solutions. We are dedicated to developing long term customer relationships by providing superior service and support, combined with Motorola’s innovative technologies that advance the way the world connects.”

“Wireless broadband solutions from MINERVA and Motorola offer our customers seamless connectivity from the carriers through to the enterprise and into the hands of the users offering real time information for business productivity and connectivity. With Motorola two-way radio solutions we are further enhancing the seamless connectivity solutions we offer, particularly through the combination of Motorola wireless broadband with the MOTOTRBO digital two-way radio range of products.” he added.

Laurent Tribout, Motorola’s Director of Sales for Middle East and Africa, said: “Minerva’s regional experience, product expertise and outstanding customer service will ensure that organizations across the region benefit from the MOTOTRBO offering. Earlier this year we announced that 200,000 MOTOTRBO digital professional two-way radios have been sold globally since first being launched in March 2007. Minerva is a trusted partner and we are confident that they can continue this momentum. This agreement underscores the long term commitment between Minerva and Motorola. ”
