Zotac International, an innovator of graphics cards, mainboards and mini-PCs, has announced three new mini-PCs in standard, nano and Blu-ray form factors.
The new ZBOX ID82, ZBOX nano ID61 and ZBOX Blu-ray AD05 series mini-PCs are perfect matches for users seeking a powerful tower PC replacement, home theater PC or energy-efficient PC, the company said.
A high-performance Intel Core i3 2330M processor with Hyper-Threading technology takes the spotlight in the ZBOX ID82 series to bring mini-PC performance to a whole new level with dual-cores for performance that can dominate much larger-sized tower PCs, it was reported. Intel HD Graphics 3000 with Intel Quick Sync Video, InTru 3D and Clear Video HD technologies bring lightning-fast GPU-accelerated video conversion, stereoscopic 3D video output and hardware-accelerated Blu-ray 3D playback to the compact ZBOX ID82 series mini-PC.
“Zotac is always looking for ways to push the mini-PC performance envelope. The latest generation Intel Core i3 mobile processor enables us to give demanding users the performance edge they need for advanced tasks such as video and image processing,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, Zotac International.
The new Zotac ZBOX nano ID61 series marks the debut of Intel processors in the ZBOX nano form factor with the dual-core Intel Celeron Processor 867 and Intel HD Graphics taking centre stage in the palm-sized mini-PC. Enhancements to the ZBOX nano ID61 platform include an upgrade in the memory card reader to support high-capacity SDXC memory cards in addition, optical S/PDIF output now arrives via a new combo analogue and mini-Optical output jack.
“We listen to customer feedback and the latest enhancements to the ZBOX nano series with the new ID61 shows we quickly react to address requests,” said Berger.
The ZBOX Blu-ray series receives a refresh with the new ZBOX Blu-ray AD05 series powered by an AMD E-450 APU with AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics. New to the ZBOX Blu-ray AD05 series mini-PC is a bundled Zotac Media Remote with USB IR receiver for easy control of the mini-PC when used with popular media centre software such as Microsoft Windows Media Center and OpenELEC, the company said.
“Blu-ray continues as the physical movie media of choice for consumers that crave high-quality high-definition content. The ZBOX Blu-ray AD05 series mini-PC enables consumers to take advantage of stunning Blu-ray movies, streaming Internet content, pictures and downloaded content while having a full-fledged PC capable of work and gaming from the comfort of their sofa,” he concluded.
All three new ZBOXes are available as a customisable barebones platform with room to accommodate DDR3 SO-DIMM memory and a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD. In addition, the company said that the models are available with 2GB of DDR3 and a 320GB hard drive pre-installed – a user-installed operating system is required for both models.
