Epicor makes new appoints across EMEA Leadership positions

Epicor Software Corporation, a provider of business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organisations, recently announced the appointment of Ian Walker as senior VP sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Hermann Stehlik as regional VP for Central Europe.

Both roles report to Epicor EMEA general manager, Keith Deane, it was reported.

In their respective roles, Walker and Stehlik will focus on revenue growth and expanding the market for the full range of products that Epicor offer, including the next-generation enterprise resourcing planning (ERP) solution, the company said.

Walker is responsible for the company’s sales strategy throughout the entire region while Stehlik takes on responsibility for the company’s sales and support operations in Germany and Eastern Europe covering countries such as the Czech Republic, Poland and Romania.

“These appointments demonstrate our continual investment in growth for the EMEA region,” said Deane.  “By appointing industry veterans into key senior leadership positions we demonstrate our commitment to building a solid organisation that can support our customers regardless of where they are located. Based on their proven track records I’m confident that Walker and Stehlik will be instrumental in driving the next phase of our growth,” he added.

Prior to joining Epicor, Walker held several vice president roles for international ERP vendors where he has a successful track record of exceeding sales and profit targets and proved that he understands the intricate details of complex, high value ERP sales cycles. It also gave him added experience of developing and managing international teams, and negotiating global ERP contracts.

“Epicor offers great solutions that inspire companies to become more competitive and run smarter businesses, and I’m excited to be part of the company’s growth plan. Based on my successful background in enterprise software sales I’m confident that I can bring additional ideas and tactics that will help us cement our leadership position,” said Walker

Stehlik was previously the GM for a German human capital service agency and has also worked as GM for an international ERP vendor. Throughout his career in the technology sector he has developed in-depth IT skills (for hardware and software) in the areas of enterprise resource planning, business intelligence, supply chain management, human capital management, customer relationship management and asset management for mid- to large-sized companies. He graduated with an engineering diploma in electronics from Regensburg, Germany.

“Our goal is to establish Epicor as a significant ERP vendor for the manufacturing and distribution industries in the Central and Eastern Europe markets and I’m delighted to have been given the chance to take the company through this growth phase. The Epicor next-generation ERP solution is perfectly placed for helping businesses in these countries streamline their processes and become more effective, while at the same time enabling them to buy or sell their products across geographical borders,” said Stehlik.
