Under the terms of the agreement, ISIT will be an authorised partner reseller of Huawei Symantec’s solutions that are developed to keep pace with evolving risks and increased availability requirements facing enterprises across the Middle East and North Africa.
IDC forecasts that IT spending in the Middle East and Africa will reach US$49.77 billion in 2010. To meet this growing demand, the partnership will make Huawei Symantec’s network security and storage appliance solutions more widely available to small to medium businesses and large enterprises across industries such as government, financial services, oil and gas, healthcare, and telecommunications – including the highly recognised Oceanspace S2600.
Based on open system architecture, the Oceanspace S2600 is designed with five important E-features in mind – Evolutionary (multiple host interface options), Easy (improved backup technology), Enhanced (rich value-added software features), Energy-saving (reduces power consumption by more than 40%), and Economical (reduces operating costs).
“ISIT’s partnership with Huawei Symantec will offer customers in the region combined solutions in some of the best-in-class information security and storage solutions. Combined with our expertise as one of Europe’s oldest storage and security systems integrators, we have confidence that our partnership with Huawei Symantec will provide reliable and cost-effective solutions, vital to all businesses today,” said Mahesh Vaidya, CEO, ISIT.
“We are delighted to welcome ISIT into Huawei Symantec’s network of partners to address the increasing demand for enterprise storage and security solutions across enterprises of all sizes,” said Zhang Ping’an, Huawei Symantec Chief Operating Officer.
“The Middle East market is experiencing unprecedented business growth, but against a backdrop of a recovering world economy, Huawei Symantec’s innovative and cost-effective solutions are perfect for smart IT buyers who want solutions which are easy to implement and will maximise their return on investment.”
The strategic partnership will be further crystallised by Huawei Symantec and ISIT’s joint-participation in the upcoming IDC IT Managers Forum 2010 Roadshow, held throughout MENA between May and October 2010, where the two companies will showcase the latest in network security and storage technologies.
Huawei Symantec, a provider of network security and storage appliance solutions to enterprise customers worldwide, has entered into a strategic partnership with ISIT, a leading company focused on designing, implementing and supporting enterprise class solutions to store, structure and secure strategic digital assets.
