Commenting on the new IT security implementation, Mr. Prashant Menon, Senior Systems Administrator, Metito said, “As an enterprise that has been experiencing rapid growth in its operations, there is an increased security risk. We felt the need to implement a secure and robust IT security solution like eScan version 10, that not only is an effective antivirus and antispam software but also secures endpoint systems ensuring confidentiality of data and better control over the network. Our main concerns regarding prevention of data theft and virus protection through portable storage devices like USBs, pen drives etc have been addressed. eScan version 10 offers several new high-level features thus making it a worthy investment”.

Bulwark Technologies, the regional distributor of eScan facilitated the implementation by providing technical assistance and support to Metito. “We are very happy with the support and technical expertise provided by the engineers from Bulwark”, added Mr. Menon.

The choice of eScan version 10 was taken after evaluation of several other software’s as well as user feedback. It is a complete security suite for Enterprises and Corporate which provides essential protection against viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, objectionable content, hackers and privacy threats via email, web downloads and chatting. Awarded the VB100% certificate recently by Virus Bulletin at a pre-release test, eScan Enterprise edition also consists of MailScan for Mail Servers that provides protection to both the mail servers and file servers.

eScan version 10 has several outstanding features inbuilt including ‘Proactive Protection’ that monitors the registry for any changes and warns the user on detecting any changes in the registry, faster on-demand scanning, new user friendly graphical user interface, web protection with built-in parental control and privacy protection, ‘Endpoint Security’ which prevents data thefts and virus infections through USB/Firewire based portable storage devices such as flash drives, pen drives, portable hard disks etc. and ‘Application Control’ that allows blocking/permitting applications on the networks/personal systems. Other notable features include ‘Advanced Firewall’ that monitors and logs both incoming and outgoing network activities in the system and protects it from all network based attacks, the ‘eScan Management Console’ with a Client Live Updater, Asset Management, Logs and Extensive Reports showing network activities of all connected clients within the network and 24/7 free online and telephonic support, besides a host of other tools.
