Injazat’s milestones and future plans

Injazat Data Systems highlighted its major achievements and revealed upcoming major activities during a special press conference and presentation titled ‘Injazat’s Milestones and Future Plans’ held at the Intercontinental Hotel Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Among the Injazat officials present during the event were Ibrahim Lari, Chief Executive Officer; George Pawlyszyn, Chief Operating Officer; Guy Johnston, Sales and Marketing Director; Philip Keating, Business Relations Manager, Injazat Defence; and Dr. Yousif Asfour, Director, The Injazat Institute (TI2). Key topics discussed with media representatives and special guests were Injazat’s goal of further expanding its Managed Services market share and its planned opening of two new offices in Dubai and Qatar. Injazat also announced its intention to build a new Data Center to complement it is existing Tier IV design Data Center.

“We have accomplished a lot after only three years of operation, and Injazat is currently poised to achieve even more due to constantly rising demand for IT services within the Gulf. We attribute this success to our emphasis on our robust infrastructure, our business savvy technology teams and the use of best practices for our clients and our internal operations as well as the continuous development and training of IT and business professionals. This has been a particularly fruitful year for us; we were able to deploy the first designed Tier IV data centre in the region,” says Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.

Established in February 2005 as a joint venture between Mubadala Development Company and Electronic Data Systems, an HP company, Injazat Data Systems currently maintains more than 600 staff from over 32 nationalities; more than 26 per cent of its employees are UAE Nationals who are highly committed to domestic and regional development.

Injazat has signed contracts worth more than AED 1.5 billion. It also recently launched a 6,600-sqm Tier IV data centre in Abu Dhabi, the first facility of its kind to get a tier IV design certification from the Uptime Institute outside of North America.

Injazat’s new subsidiary, Injazat Defence Services, has been formed to provide consultancy and technology-related services to the defence and security sector. Injazat defense provides leading information and business management solutions. These solutions cover areas ranging from reconnaissance and battlefield intelligence to logistics and pay administration.

The Injazat Institute, achieved a 90 per cent client satisfaction rating after marking its inaugural year last September 2008. The Injazat Institute trained over 1,600 students across more than 10 organization, 550 of whom were UAE Nationals. It has also conducted more than 4,000 man-days of training, and delivered over 130 different courses through specialized programs. “We have had a very successful first year. We were able to gain a reputation for delivering high quality leadership and professional development services to several organizations in the UAE. We look forward to establishing ourselves as a leader in developing UAE Nationals across the country over the next year,” says Dr. Asfour
