Gartner: Global IT spending to see marginal growth in 2017

According to Gartner, worldwide IT spending is expected to increase 1.4 percent in 2017. Despite this growth rate being down from the previous quarter’s forecast of 2.7 percent – due in part to the rising U.S. dollar – spending in this area is still predicted to reach $3.5 trillion in 2017.

IDC: MEA tablet market sees decline

The Middle East and Africa (MEA) tablet market declined 24.2 percent year on year (Y-o-Y) in the final quarter of 2016 to total 3.07 million units, according to the latest figures announced today by International Data Corporation (IDC).
