Ixia, provider of converged network testing solutions, has opened its new sales and customer support center in Dubai’s IT hub, Dubai Internet City. The facility will offer a wide variety of conveniences for local customers, including sales, service, and support.
The Middle East has evolved to become one of Ixia’s key markets for expansion due to telecom operator and enterprise investment in sophisticated networks in the region. Ixia is experiencing substantial sales growth through regional and multi-national distributors. The new office in Dubai will provide a base from which Ixia’s dedicated local team can deliver top-quality support to customers and distributors, says the company’s press communique.
Markets such as telecommunications, oil and gas, and large enterprises now require pre-deployment network infrastructure testing. This is because the convergence of wired and wireless technologies, and the explosion of delay-sensitive applications that use them, are causing network roll-outs to become increasingly complex to install and difficult to manage. By simulating true scale and network behavior prior to deployment, Ixia’s solutions enable service providers and IT/data centre managers to ensure that the infrastructure and carrier services are able to handle a variety of real-world scenarios under various load and application conditions.
“Increased network infrastructure deployments and complexity, coupled with the need for a quick return on investment, prompts telecoms operators and enterprises to use Ixia’s turnkey solutions in network testing” said Mark Chaplain, vice president of EMEA sales at Ixia. “The Middle East is seeing tremendous progress in this sector and the opening of our new office is testimony to this growth. Our presence here will allow us to effectively support our customers and resellers to test and deploy their converged networking technology.”
